Some of my rings from this week

Here are a few of my rings from this week. I took another “break” from Ring a Day recently. It was a much needed time away from having to make a ring each day. It can be exhausting to think about making a ring EVERYDAY! But I am jumping back in and trying to catch up for me. I would like to end the year on track…well see how the holidays go!

I got this tiny little spool months ago with a shirt from Anthropology. It has been “looking” at me in my bathroom ever since screaming for me to make a ring out of it. I decided this morning I better make all the rings I have planned to make before the end of the year. I have thought all along I have plenty of time to make them all…and have procrastinated, been burnt out, ect. So….now I am going to try to get made all the rings I had wanted to make and have ideas to make. I haven’t written down most of my ideas (some I have) which has probably been a mistake, so I hope to remember them and make them in the last 2 1/2 months. Isn’t that crazy that we only have 2 months left. I remember when I joined I thought it was only for a month and THEN I found out it was for a year!!!!!!! Did you know that rings scared me before this? Before this project I had probably only made 10-15 rings or so ever….

The lotus flower ring is a design I have been working on…decided to cut it out and see how it looked. I like the shadow that it creates.

The star anise was a gift in my RAD pack from Victoria of Experimetal. I love how it photographed.

Thanks for looking and hope to “see” you back here soon.

Have a great weekend!

I can’t wait to get all my charms from everyone else. . I am very excited about them.

Have a wonderful day! Kathryn

New Work

Black Onyx, Sterling Silver

Turquoise Teardrop, Sterling Silver

I really loved making both of these rings. The black onyx I have had for a long time and was waiting to be made into a ring. I love the beautiful heart bezel wire I used to set the stone. I think it looks pretty against the black onyx. I set the turquoise teardrop simply to show off the beautiful stone.

I will hopefully add these to my shop tomorrow. Thanks for looking, Kathryn
